Kamehameha seniors Zoe Leonard and Kaiu Ahuna were on a USA White women’s junior A1 training team that finished fourth in the international division at the USA Volleyball High Performance Championships in Tulsa, Okla.

Leonard, a libero, and Ahuna, an outside hitter, either started or saw playing time off the bench during their team’s 5-3 run at the tournament. USA White lost a semifinal match and its third-place match Saturday.

Earlier in Oklahoma, Leonard and Ahuna — lifelong friends — both participated the junior national training program.

Moku O Keawe has a youth team participating at the tournament, and other Big Islanders at the event were Emmet Enriques, Chase Tanaka and Kamalu Makekau-Whittaker.
